Questions and answers of the customers

  1. A Did you mean M430? In which case please do not purchase. I had an unpleasant experience with mine and finally threw it out. Buy a better more expensive model. The battery did not last long between charges. It quickly discharged. The plug/cord that came with it is easily damaged and an unusual configuration. It took a long time to charge. It took a VERY long time to upload. Data was sometimes corrupted. The device was not well designed. Use of the buttons was not intuitive. The strap was wonky and may need to be trimmed.Online assistance was not clear and VERY time-consuming. In fact, useful online assistance is almost non-existent.The wrist HRM was not as accurate as a chest strap. Also, you're supposed to wear it kinda high up on your arm, but it will slide back down towards your wrist.Just avoid. YMMV
  2. A Total Heart beats ?I know you can see heart beats during workout and you get a summary of HR at end of workout
  3. A log into your Amazon account go to orders look up order by product keyword when it appears choose receipt option will provide you a copy of receipt
  4. A I only know these five clock faces, maybe there is a way to customize it but personally I have not looked for it.
  5. A The M430 does not offer a multi sport mode. One would need to move to the Vantage M for that type of functionality. - Mike<>PolarUSA
  6. A No, the button work great.
  7. A If you’re looking for an EKG reporting device this is not it.The Apple 5 watch has a SINGLE EKG quality sensor and will generate LOTS more false positives that the 11 to 13 sensors used when you’re in a medical facility.
  8. A No. Pero PolarFlow se enlaza con Runtastic automaticamente
  9. A That’s a great question. I don’t know for sure. But based on my experience with the M400 and M430, optical monitoring is not as accurate as the chest strap (off by as much as 30% in my experience) but still more accurate than nothing at all because without input, the algorithm is just assuming calorie burn based on weight and activity profile. So actual HRT input, be it optical or via chest strap is going to give you better accuracy.
  10. A Depends on the seller.
  11. A I looked it up and saw ..... Small and medium/large I measured my wrist and it is 7in and I have a medium/large. Also still lots of room for adjustment
  12. A The Polar M430 does indeed have smart notifications. It can receive for example phone calls and text messages on the watch when connected to your phone via 'Bluetooth'. - Mike<>PolarUSA
  13. A Yes, of course. This watch arrives with a USB charging cable. You will also use this cable to connect the watch to Polar flow (an app that you will install over your computer).
  14. A In my experience, this watch does not communicate with the sensor attached to the chest strap, so is not a solution. I bought another polar, the F1, which works with the transmitter attached to the chest strap and use it in the other hand. The M430 does not acknowledge the HR beating during the first 8 minutes. From that moment on it goes at similar levels than the F1. I have observed this behavior several times and it is always the same. Why? Don t know.
  15. A Yes, the M430 communicates on the Bluetooth Low Energy transmission protocol.- Mike@PolarUSA
  16. A Confirming one's personal information within the watch is one of the first suggestions we give when customers have questions about the calories readings our watches provide. The more detailed the information provided, the more accurate the calories information. Secondly, the M430 provides an estimation of the calories from one's activity (outside of an exercise session) as well as their BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). This is for the total day. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact Polar directly. We can be reached at 800-227-1314. - Mike@PolarUSA
  17. A Yes it does and it is quite accurate. I find the m430 optical heart rate sensor to be quite accurate overall, compared to the h10 chest strap, within 1-2 bpm at all times.
  18. A polar ios the best, is from europe, and has been in the watch market for many years, garmin an tomtom are pivoting from their gps devices, factastic devices but still improving their watches , in USA are very strong due to their marketing.
  19. A Si es resistente a agua, me ducho, sudo, lavo todo se moja y esta perfecto
  20. A Yes, it's right under the watch face that has a circle and then the date and time in the middle, with the seconds just below that.
  21. A You can manually set a lap or have the Polar Flow app split based on distance after the workout.
  22. A The M430 is indeed waterproof! You're more than welcome to use it in the water. - Mike@PolarUSA
  23. A Yes. When you are in an exercise mode, e.g., running, walking, etc., heart rate is displayed continuously. When not in an exercise mode, there is a continuous heart rate mode for monitoring heart rate.
  24. A can it use a chest band?
  25. A The charging cable is packaged with the watch. There is no need to secure any additional component. - Mike@PolarUSA
  26. A Yes, the hrm is on all the time if you have it set to continually track your hr. No, it does not show rem or any kind of sleep like you see with some Fitbits. You can set a do not disturb and any notifications will not come through during those hours.
  27. A The gray is large. I am a smaller woman and did purchase the gray because I knew the white would not stay white long. I am very happy with the gray. I purchased it knowing it would look large on my wrist but I am extremely happy with it
  28. A The 430 does not have agps like the Fitbit uses. You only have three choices for gps high accuracy(ping every second) medium (every thirty second) power saver(every minute). No agps. You can get about twenty days if you don’t use hr or any gps.
  29. A The M430 does indeed come with a charging cable. - Mike@PolarUSA
  30. A The M430 is indeed compatible with the chest strap heart monitor. You would need to pair it to a Bluetooth enabled version however like Polar's H10 sensor. - Mike@PolarUSA
  31. A The M430 does indeed count your steps. It also estimates calories burns as well as track your sleep. Below is a link to our website with more information on the product. - Mike@PolarUSAhttps://www.polar.com/us-en/products/sport/M430-gps-running-watch
  32. A I’m suppose you mean authentic. If so, the answer is yes. You register your product with polar.com when you receive it and download the polar flow app to your phone and computer.
  33. A Yes I use mine with a H10. If you use a heart rate strap sensor the built in one turns off and the watch battery lasts longer.
  34. A The M430 will not work with the T31 heart rate sensor. One would need a Bluetooth sensor like Polar's H10 for it to be compatible. - Mike@PolarUSA
  35. A The M430 does indeed have the ability to measure speed and cadence. The integrated GPS provides the speed/distance/pace whereas the accelerometer interprets the cadence reading. - Mike@PolarUSA
  36. A Polar's Flow web service and mobile app (to which the M430 sycs with) works with the 'MapMY....' applications. - Mike@PolarUSA
  37. A The M430 has a 'Fitness Test' feature which takes samples of their heart rate providing a estimation on their Vo2 max value. - Mike@PolarUSA
  38. A While the M430 was optimized to be worn on the outside of the wrist, it can be worn on the inside. - Mike@PolarUSA
  39. A The M430 has 8 hours of battery life with GPS and optical heart rate active. There is also a low energy mode GPS mode that offers 30 hours of training time. - Mike@PolarUSA
  40. A The GPS sensor integrated within the M430 can track the speed/distance of each run that you do. The lap split feature will allow you to mark the number of runs during the day. - Mike@PolarUSA
  41. A Mainly it designed to use it as steps/sleep tracker , you can see your heart rate but it's like just to have a look at your current heart rate as temporary option because other infos will disappear from the interface ( that if you want use the heart rate without workout ) , but if you do workouts as running or cycling , the heart rate will switch on and start recording data , I think they do that to conserve the battery power
  42. A yes, you do this in the polar flow website, then sync it as a "favorite". It works great, just like you say. The watch vibrates when it is time to go to the next block, and there is a countdown timer during each block. The reports on the flow website afterwards are very informative.
  43. A I'm getting a full week on a charge, using the GPS and HR functions about an hour a day on average, and wearing it the rest of the time.
  44. A Yes, it has a blue backlight.
  45. A hello, the watch face are not very soft. I haven't used a screen protector for my watch, this one or y previous polar watch. I have however used it while I exercise only. I am mostly running and using various gym equipment for my exercise.Hope this helps
